EcoVadis, a globally authoritative sustainability rating agency, recently announced its latest results. HiTHIUM once again achieved a “Gold” rating with a composite score of 84, marking the second consecutive year it has secured this honor.

HiTHIUM once again achieved a “Gold” rating
Despite stricter evaluation criteria and a general rise in scores among participating companies worldwide this year, HiTHIUM improved its percentile ranking from the top 5% last year to the top 3% (97th percentile). It also maintained the highest score among Chinese lithium-ion battery companies with over 1,000 employees. From winning “Gold” on its first attempt to retaining the status and improving its standing, HiTHIUM’s progress demonstrates its long-term commitment and solid practices in sustainability.
The EcoVadis rating covers over 150,000 companies across 185 countries and more than 250 industries. It is widely regarded as a key benchmark for supply chain sustainability and a crucial reference for leading enterprises when selecting suppliers.
The assessment involved a comprehensive review across four dimensions—Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Business Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement—comprising 21 specific criteria. HiTHIUM achieved scores exceeding 80 in all four dimensions, reflecting balanced and robust development.

HiTHIUM 2026 EcoVadis Scorecard: Total Score 84, 97th Percentile
Environmental Performance
HiTHIUM continues to deepen its commitment to green design and manufacturing. Its Xiamen base has launched a “PV+Energy Storage” green industrial park, while the Chongqing Tongliang base has achieved a significant reduction in energy consumption per unit of product through “Lighthouse Factory” smart PV management and AI control systems. Concurrently, at the “2026 Huaxia ESG Management System Conference” hosted by China Times, HiTHIUM was selected as a "2026 Corporate ESG Practice Case" and recognized in the environmental category for its “Green Opportunity” initiative.
Sustainable Procurement
Building upon its existing initiatives—such as supplier ESG training, annual audits, and conflict mineral due diligence—HiTHIUM has further strengthened collaboration across the industry chain. Recently, the “Sustainable Lithium Battery Industry Working Group,” spearheaded by Tianqi Lithium, was officially launched. HiTHIUM is deeply involved as one of the founding member companies. As the first collaborative mechanism in China’s lithium battery industry to span the entire upstream, midstream, and downstream chain, this working group unites over twenty representative enterprises from the full value chain. It focuses on areas such as the mutual recognition of battery regulations and “battery passports,” the development of local carbon footprint data, and trustworthy supply chain traceability, collectively enhancing the Chinese lithium battery industry’s capacity to participate in global sustainability governance.
Labor and Human Rights
HiTHIUM has continuously improved its employee rights protection system through measures such as ensuring equal pay for equal work, achieving 100% coverage for occupational health check-ups, implementing policies for diversity and equal employment, and establishing multi-channel grievance mechanisms. Consequently, the company’s score in this category has seen a significant increase compared to last year.
Business Ethics
HiTHIUM has continuously refined its compliance systems regarding anti-corruption, data security, and the prevention of conflicts of interest. Having obtained certifications such as ISO 37001 (Anti-Bribery Management System) and ISO 27001 (Information Security Management System), the company has achieved a marked improvement in its score for this category. Areas that were previously relatively weak have now reached high-performance levels.
Behind this repeated Gold Medal achievement lies HiTHIUM’s continuously improving sustainability management system. Guided by comprehensive policy documents and both qualitative and quantitative targets, the company formulates specific measures for key issues. It also advances certifications—including ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, and SA8000—across all mass-production bases, gradually establishing a continuous optimization mechanism based on an “assess-improve-elevate” cycle.
Moving forward, HiTHIUM will remain dedicated to the energy storage sector, further strengthen its ESG framework, and commit to its long-duration energy storage strategy. By leveraging industry-leading, all-scenario integrated energy storage solutions to drive the green transformation of the industrial value chain, HiTHIUM aims to make even greater contributions to the global transition to clean energy and sustainable development.
