HiTHIUM & KNESS Signed 2GWh Energy Storage Framework Agreement

Building on previous project cooperation, both sides reviewed past achievements and aligned on project planning, technology pathways, and delivery assurance for the Ukraine market, laying the groundwork for large-scale deployment.

Driven by Europe's energy transition and growing requirements for grid security and resilience, renewable energy deployment in Eastern Europe has accelerated. As renewable penetration increases, demand for long-duration energy storage is rising, particularly for grid regulation, system stability, and backup power, placing higher requirements on system reliability and long-term performance.

During the discussions, HiTHIUM highlighted its ∞Power 6.25 MWh 2–4-hour BESS, emphasizing its high integration, safety, efficiency, and lifecycle economics, as well as HiTHIUM's global manufacturing and delivery capabilities. The system is well suited to renewable integration and grid-support applications in Eastern Europe.

Sam Wang, sales director of HiTHIUM, said that energy storage, especially long-duration energy storage, is becoming critical infrastructure for supporting high renewable penetration and strengthening power system resilience in Ukraine. By combining HiTHIUM's end-to-end capabilities with KNESS's strong local expertise, the two parties aim to deliver reliable and efficient energy storage solutions for the region.

Andrii Khyzhniak, First Deputy General Director of KNESS Group, said the strategic partnership builds on their successful cooperation and reflects a shared commitment to accelerating energy storage deployment in Ukraine to support a secure and sustainable power system.

The two parties will further strengthen collaboration across project development, system integration, and delivery execution, continuously advancing the large-scale application of long-duration energy storage solutions in Ukraine and providing sustained support for building a safer, more efficient, and greener regional energy system.
